Our SVCCC Mayors' Breakfast Signature Event spotlights current mayors from various cities within Silicon Valley. Each year brings a new lineup of represented cities, making this an up-close and personal opportunity to connect, gain insights into each city's vision, regional issues and opportunities, and pose your questions. Moderated by Russell Hancock, CEO of Joint Venture Silicon Valley.

Santa Clara City Mayor Lisa Gillmor (D)

  • Mayor Gillmor was first elected to the office of mayor in 2018. She had previously served on Santa Clara City Council since 1992. Her current term expires December 2026.

Cupertino City Mayor Sheila Mohan (D)

  • Mayor Sheila Mohan is a longtime Cupertino resident and seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in local government. During her time as the Senior Finance Manager for Santa Clara County and Administrative Services Director for Union City, she established a proven record of developing and managing budgets, implementing complex programs, and creating a positive work environment for a diverse workforce.

Sunnyvale City Mayor Larry Klein (D)

  • Mayor Klein was first elected to Sunnyvale Council for Seat 4 in August of 2016 and then re-elected for Seat 4 in November of 2016. He was selected by Council as a 2-year Mayor in January 2019.  He was elected as Sunnyvale’s FIRST directly-elected Mayor in November of 2020. His first term as Mayor expires in 2024.
  • Mayor Klein serves on a number of boards, including Vice President of the Cities Association of Santa Clara County, Chair of the Executive Committee for Silicon Valley Clean Energy, as well as multiple other County commissions (Measure A Oversight, Redevelopment Dissolution, Chair of Recycling and Waste Commission, and others).  He is a Bloomberg-Harvard Leadership Mayor, and he sits on the US Conference of Mayor’s Technology and Innovation Committee.

Milpitas City Mayor Carmen Montano (D)

  • Mayor Carmen Montano is a seasoned educator with 26 years of teaching experience, remains active in education through contracts with various districts, including Milpitas Unified School District. She also served as Milpitas' Vice Mayor from 2014 to 2016 and played a key role in establishing successful Family Resource Centers and co-founding the Sunnyhills Neighborhood Association in 1991. She was elected as Mayor in November 2022 and her current term expires in November 2024

Mountain View City Mayor Pat Showalter (D)

  • Mayor Showalter has lived in Mountain View most of her adult life. Early on, she enjoyed a range of activities related to her children, such as being a girl scout leader and active in the local PTA. Later, she put her professional experience to work through serving on Mountain View’s Planning Commission (EPC) for nine years, the board of the Santa Clara League of Conservation Voters, and the board of the Los Altos-Mountain View Area League of Women Voters. It was her honor to serve on Mountain View’s City Council from 2015 to 2019 and particularly as Mayor in 2016. She served as Vice Mayor in 2023 and her current term as Mayor ends in January 2025
